I'm often a fan of flavored coffees, which this is not. However, when I drink this coffee, I can easily recognize it as coffee and it's coffee flavor is completely satisfying without any additional flavors. I think an old cigarette commercial said, "outstanding, and they are mild." I think that description applies well to this cup of coffee.
Grinding the fresh coffee beans releases the most aromatic smell that spreads throughout the house. The brew and the taste - it's better than any coffee shop, ever! The whole family is hooked, even my husband who doesn't drink coffee, now asks for a cup.

We are dark roast coffee lovers and have tried many, many dark roasts out there. Every time, as soon as you open the small bag of beans (of some other brand), there’s immediate disappointment. Their color usually pales in comparison to the rich, dark, slightly oily Mystic Monk beans. I don’t even know how many years we’ve been purchasing the 5# bags of Espresso Blend Whole Beans? We’ll probably be fans for life!
