I wasn't sure I would like this coffee based on the fact that I only drink MM flavored coffee"s. However, I was pleasantly surprise and I'm enjoying the smooth, rich flavor of the Rwanda Musara.
The Monks have a winner with this coffee. It is one of my favorites and I hope they keep it available the year around. It has amazing aroma and flavor that is mild on my stomach but yet full of body and flavor.
Another wonderful coffee of the month. Love my monthly subscription, it never disappoints. Thank you, Mystic Monks!
The Rwanda Dukundekawa Musasa is yet another example of Mystic Monk mastering every step of the process, from selecting the beans to the roasting and delivering. The coffees of the month are always top quality beans. This is the most complex Rwandan I’ve tasted. It doesn’t go overboard trying not to taste like an Ethiopian, in other words there is still a touch of citrus to remind one it is African, but the citrus is more orange than lemon. The roast also brings out flavors of natural brown sugar (Sugar in the Raw) , milk chocolate, and an earthiness somewhat reminiscent of Sumatran coffees (though this last part ever so slightly). In short, this is a coffee certainly suited for the first cup of the day, but will also make an excellent mid-afternoon cup. Thank you, Monks!
I love to support the religious in any way I can and what better way than thru coffee. Not to mention they make great coffee. I have been spreading the word about the monks on Facebook to all my friends and family.
