Kenya Peaberry

The Kenya Peaberry offers notes of honeydew melon and pear, with a hint of jasmine, and the pleasant winey brightness that Kenyan coffees are known for.

The peaberry is a highly sought-after rarity, where the coffee cherry produces only one round bean, rather than two flat-sided beans. These peaberries showcase the unique flavor of the coffee varietals, which in Kenya's case is already amazing. To have a bean that is both Kenyan and a peaberry is certainly a rare (and delicious!) find.

This coffee is grown on small family farms in the volcanic soil of the Kenyan highlands, at about 4,600 to 5,900 feet. After picking, the coffee is washed, soaked in fresh water, and dried on raised beds. We recommend enjoying it black as a morning, or after lunch, coffee.
