Rich and complex, the Colombian Huila Asprotimana offers an elevated perspective on the traditional breakfast coffee with exquisite notes of stone fruit, a subtle hint of port, and a rich, full-bodied cacao-toned aftertaste.
The rugged volcanic soil of Andes mountains where this high-grown Colombian Arabica allows the coffee cherry to slowly develop into a complex fruit. When harvested, depulped and dried, the hard green coffee bean is then carefully sorted so only the top beans are exported as speciality grade coffee. Roasted to a medium-light roast level, the Huila Asprotimana is delicate enough to enjoy black, but is also versatile enough to handle a dash of cream.
