The natural wood beads are comforting to touch as I pray each decade, and beautiful in its simplicity. It is just the right size to carry about or to take along, even put in one's pocket to carry about. St. Anthony is one of my special saints, close in heart. As a Third Order Carmelite (O.C.D.S.) it is more of a treasure because it has been blessed by a Carmelite Priest and came from the Carmelite Monastery in Cody, Wyoming, the closest Carmelite Monastery to Boise, Idaho, where I live. The very day the Rosary arrived, I switched from praying a current 54-Day Rosary Novena for our Nation with another favorite Rosary, to praying with the St. Anthony Rosary for the reasons above. I have kept this Rosary close at hand and sometimes, in my pocket ever since as it carries a special sense of Carmelite spirituality.
