This fine coffee received an excellent 91 point review from coffee expert, Kenneth Davids.  Here is what he said:

"Deeply sweet, spice-toned. Vanilla, white peppercorn, date, moist pipe tobacco, almond in aroma and cup. Sweet-toned in structure with gentle acidity; crisp, satiny mouthfeel. The gently drying finish consolidates to notes of almond and white peppercorn."  - Kenneth Davids, May 2018, Coffeereview.com

Delicate and gentle our medium-roast Burundi coffee offers outstanding depth and complexity with each sip.  The initial toffee and berry tones expand into exquisite chamomile flower and honeydew melon notes. The aftertaste is impressively sweet with dark chocolate and honeysuckle elements throughout.

Exceptionally smooth!

This was such a velvety smooth coffee with a wonderful, smoky afterflavor. My husband doesn't rave about it as much as I do - something about it being a little too strong, although I suspect that has more to do with me adding more coffee grounds and not as much water as the directions call for. But even when I brew it extra-strong, it is still very smooth. When I warm a cup up five or six hours after initially brewing my morning coffee, the flavor remains exceptional.

Burundi review

A nice roast. It was smooth , no trace of bitterness. I normally drink Gevalia Kenya roast , and this was comparable.

Rich Flavour

The Burundi blend of Mystic Monk is delicious. It is smooth, yet robust. Hints of spice without the conventional bitterness of coffee. In addition to the great flavour, helping the monastery is a worthy cause.
