First off, of you are wondering if the packets at Mystic Monk are more expensive, they are not. The price point is generally exactly as if you bought the big bag. I like the packets because in the morning I'm usually bleary eyed, and opening a packet sure beats juggling a scoop sometimes.
I've always liked flavored coffees. But as I get older I'm not into the overpowering taste of some you'll find at the big name coffee shops. Whatever flavoring the monks use, it seems to be very "natural" and the recipe works. When I first bought the flavor sampler, I thought the Royal Rum Pecan would be a back burner flavor for me. Not the case. It's really good. The pumpkin spice,an I'm a sucker for that flavor. Over the past few years when people would complain about pumpkin spice this and that, for me it was and is a guilty pleasure.
If this is the first time you've looked into Mystic Monk coffees, let me say the price points compare to the big name shops out there pound per pound. And there is something to be said for the convenience of getting it shipped to the house. One less thing to worry about at the grocery store. Free shipping over what, $45? This amount lasts me two months. Some of you may buy this to support the monks, and I guess there is an element of that. But I'm not one to do "pity purchases". Coffee is an important part of my day and it better be good. I think the monks know that and you will realize that too.
I'm also a Realtor, and these make great housewarming gifts for clients.
I like to give away these flavored sampler envelopes as stocking stuffers or to add on to another gift. They also help spread the word to others about Mystic Monk Coffee!
Great coffee. Thank you.
after trying the sampler myself, iI ordered a bunch for the extended family to try
This the first time I have ordered coffee from Mystic Monks. The coffee is very flavorful. My wife and I are enjoying it every morning. The reason for only 4 stars is that the grind is too coarse for my taste.
