Medium Roast
A medium roast draws out all the characteristics of the individual bean. Blackberries, blueberries, flowers and chocolate are the many hints of overtones you can find in an exquisite medium roast.
A medium roast retains the sugars that are caramelized in a darker roast. So when the medium roast is ground, it smells very sweet, rather than smokey. The sugars taste spicy and sweet, but have very different quality depending on the soil where they are grown. We taste test each coffee carefully before choosing our favorites and roasting them alone or blending them. |
