High Caffeine
The Hare would certainly have one the race if he started his morning with one of these coffees! Bright and caffeinated, our lighter roasts are great for breakfast.
Today's Lesson: Lighter coffees have more uniques tastes than darker ones, and a much higher caffeine content. That is why most of our high octane coffees are medium roasted. Translate that into "BOLDNESS" language and you do not necessarily have a coffee that is less bold, just having less of a fire roasted taste. Every bean comes from a different original country, and every bean from the region has a special taste. These tastes go away in the darker roasts, but in the lighter roasts you can taste them clearly - coffee does not just taste like plain old coffee any more. They can have hints of sweet spices, herbs, flowers, berries, moist soil, cedar, vanilla and more. If you cannot taste these things, try a Monk Press because it draws out the flavors.
Also, if you have bad or even ok water, it will dull the taste of these coffees because of the minerals in the water. If you want to find out what I mean, use purified spring water in a Monk Press and you will understand. These high caffeine coffees have a great taste and are perfect with a blueberry muffin or a black current scone. Try it!
